In light of recent comments to my post on the possible upcoming Star Trek movie, I feel the need to make a few more observations. Why the hell are they including that weirdo from “Enterprise” (I don’t CARE if he was on “Quantum Leap”) and not Captain Janeway and Commander Sisco?! I’m sorry. “Enterprise” was weak. Weeeeak.
Let me make a personal reference. “Enterprise” was to the Star Trek franchise as “Machina: The Machines of God” was to the Smashing Pumpkins. Catch my drift? Go listen to the album and you’ll understand. Oh, you didn’t buy it? Exactly.

Ah, yes. I loved Quantum Leap, but this wasn’t for him. They probably said that about Shatner too, at first. I think I may have an answer to your question. I believe it was all about the ship(Enterprise) and it’s history, in a sense. That’s why no Janeway and definitely no Sisko. I guess they are considered side stories to the Enterprise’s main history. They’d be good movies if they good writing, though.
THANK YOU VERONICA! I’m NOT ALONE!!
Enterprise sucked. There, it’s out there.
The only thing that made Voyager worth a rats *ss was 7 of 9, B’Elanna Torres, Tom Paris and The Doctor. In that order. Having to *endure* Janeway and that dolt of a first officer still almost killed the series for me. And 7 of 9 getting jiggy with Chakotay at the end was a HUGE disappointment.
Best moment? When they got rid of Neelix!
I agree that the Seven/Chakotay thing was really retarted, she should have been with umm, somebody else, anybody=
I think Neelix was cool most of the time, I think his acting was pretty good too, he really made a fool out of himself and I think his charicter was perfectly believable. Janeway was alright, but I agree she could have been better. Harry Kim, well, I never liked him much. The Doctor was great, Kess could have been better. Tuvac was well, Tuvac, Chakotay didn’t seem like he fitted in very well IMO. I guess though that makes sence since he was a Makee.
I always liked Voyager and am watching the entire series again now actually. I never cared much for TNG, DS9, or the original. Enterprise wasn’t very good but I do like how it’s kind of a different kind of show because everything’s supposed to be new and all, it being the first mission.
I hope we get a female captain again in the next series, whenever that shows up^^
I could not agree more, watching Enterprise for the first time on SPIKE and I hate almost everything he does. I am not excited about them going backwards in time, I liked the forwards things the new technology! Wasn’t Enterprise the series the shortest run? Maybe that should give some hints, we want our fake tech toys!
