Ok, well I finally registered my name. veronicabelmont.com is live, and leads, uh, here. So basically I’m just doing it to prevent not being able to get it at a later time. Makes sense, right?
Working on getting someone to host it for me, and then I’ll probably get off of Blogger. I wonder if there’s a way I can archive all my blogger entries and put them on the new site? Any ideas? Oh… maybe I’ll do iWeb. Looks pretty easy, and it would work so well with all the other programs I already use. Charlie and I have decided to try the new podcasting studio in GarageBand this weekend for Tired Thumbs. Maybe we’ll get some decent audio quality for once!
In other news, I feel like I’m trapped in a freakin’ cage. I want to go out so badly. I know it’s not a good idea, but I hate just sitting around where I know there’s so much going on.

you can set up blogger to post to your website if you want.

I use Blogger to post to my website. I’m still not quite happy with the template though. I plan to change it.. someday.
Yup, you can get WordPress as your blog and it will import Blogger sites.
Yah, I’ve been meaning to tell you two the quality sucks – kidding! I’ll look forward to hearing how it sounds though and I’ll be bugging Charlie for a review for MacNation (http://macphilly.com/wordpress) on how easy it is or isn’t!

Well, while you are in recoup, you can always Check out some videos.
Or have you tried tinkering with Performancing for Firefox. It’s a blogging extension for Firefox (of course). It works with Blogger, WordPress, and others. It’s in beta, but works pretty well (like Google) and is free. I’ve been using it for my blog since right before CES.

Veronica:
Hope you are feeling better. Sorry you missed some of Macworld, but there will be others.
It’s cool that you already have iLife 6. I checked the Stockton Street store a few times Tuesday and Wednesday and they didn’t have them for sale. iWeb looks cool – can’t wait to see what you come up with.
I personally use w.bloggar for my little tech blog that I’ve kind of neglected lately: zoness.blogspot.com
I might start using it for my personal blog (check profile) because I’m starting to get tired of some problems that sometimes happen with the web-based blogger posting pages. Plus I like the extra functionality and ease-of-use of w.bloggar. (also works with wordpress, and a ton of other software)
I tried PowerBlog (sorry if link doesn’t work, google it i’m not sure what the link is, I think thats right though) and I liked it alot but it was unstable and cumbersome, not to mention a memory hog, but it had some more advanced features than w.bloggar, for example full local archiving and such, and you could do alot of neat stuff with it.
Anyways, sorry you missed MacWorld Veronica, glad to hear you made it to today’s podcast though:)
Veronica! Victor from TUAW here (shhh). I use onedollarhosting.com for my superpixel.com domain. Only 10MB of space, but unlimited bandwidth. Great for hosting those Colin Farrell WMV’s.
Too bad CES & Macworld are double-booked, I’d loved to have had coffee or tea with you next year. Maybe in ‘08, when iLife has been renamed to iWishiHadaLife.
