Kato at Witfits posted a link to the Captian Picard song. I listened to it at work and made an obvious nerd of myself by laughing quite loud while my boss was walking by. Yes!

I am BelBot.

Cloned pigs and healthy bacon.

Mar 27, 2006 Author: Veronica | Filed under: babble, food, news

Josh sent me a link from Slashfood, who quotes an article from the International Herald Tribune (doesn’t that sound like a made-up newspaper?). I have to say that it gives me great hope for the future of my diet:

American researchers have cloned pigs that can produce their own omega-3 fatty acids, which would make bacon and pork good for your heart. Omega-3 fatty acids are those compounds found in fish like tuna that reduce the incidence of heart disease.

Isn’t that great!?

p.s. Yes, I pumped up the saturation on the photo below. But it still wasn’t a camera phone! I thought the sky looked kind of “apocalypse-like” apocalyptic. :P
