Bill Gates as indie cutie?

This is an image of Bill Gates from a video I saw on tuaw.

Doesn’t he look kind of indie rock? Big glasses, shaggy hair? Microphone? He could be playing a show, like, opening for Interpol or something.

My priorities.

The best things in life are free
But you can give them to the birds and bees
I want money

While listening to the “Money” cover by Thee Headcoatees:

Him: I thought girls “just want to have fun?”

Her: No… money. Money is for doing fun things. Specifically shopping.

Oh, and what shopping I have done! I believe I was even called out on the podcast by Tom for “shopping or something” when he called me this week. Clearly! What good would a vacation be without shopping and eating copious amounts of delicious foods? No good at all. I can’t believe the week is almost up already! Vacations never seem long enough though, do they? I keep making promises of pictures, but that might have to wait until I get back.

I have been doing some reading on this trip, and if you have a taste for quasi-rediculous sci-fi and horror then you should probably go take a look at John Dies at the End. Probably one of the funniest and most inventive works I’ve read in a while. Also great reading is Pointless Waste of Time, which is probably my new favorite site on the Internerd. How can you go wrong mixing WoW humor, satire and sci-fi?? It gives me faith in humanity again. Ok, I have out-nerded myself once again, and I haven’t even had coffee yet today!

NYC.

2

As most of you may know, I’ve been in NYC for the past few days (and no, I have not disapeared into the dark hole that is World of Warcraft obsession, never to be seen nor heard from again… yet, anyway). My friend Naomi and I took the redeye from SF to NYC on Friday night, and unfortunately I was completely unable to sleep due to the inevitable presence of snakes. Actually, I just didn’t have anything to lean my head against because I had the aisle seat.

Today, fully recovered from sleep deprivation and bad airport food, I visited CNET NYC. They have better coffee.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have some more pictures to post. Goodnight for now!

SoaP! The Trailer.

7

The trailer for Snakes on a Plane has finally surfaced. Boy oh boy… does this movie look stupid. In the best kind of way! Who wants to crash the premiere?

UPDATE: According to an e-mail I just received, that is NOT the official trailer. Rather, it is “sneak peek footage with unfinished CGI.” The letter came from Crew Creative Advertising, who has New Line Cinema listed as one of their clients. So, per their request, here are the official SoaP links:
