The Kickflip phone form Helio came out yesterday, and I think I might need to own it (especially since I’m a free agent from Verizon now… TAKE THAT VERIZON!). Anyhow, it sounds pretty hot, you can go read about it here. The only thing I’m worried about is the built in MySpace integration. Do I really need to have MySpace access all the time??

if there was a way to remove the myspace crap, i’d get the phone in a heartbeat..

Clearly you are not a teenage girl. (Thank goodnesss).
Very cool phone. Stylish and has a lot of features. I love this kind of flip, although I never had something with that. Also:
1. You don’t need MySpace all the time.
2. My ringtone will be The Wikka Wikka Rap by MC Veronica, take that Bustha Rhymes…
lol, that would be awesome rodrigo! we need a wikka-wikka ringtone
I thought it was very cool until you got to the part about the $85 per month minimum service plan. Yeesh.
And Sprint? They’re fine until you want to leave the country. Then it sucks to not have a GSM phone. I would go with Cingular.
Yea, I agree with Eric F. Sprint sucks. Has anybody used Sprint since they merged with Nextel? Maybe there isn’t as many dropped calls as there were when Sprint wasn’t with Nextel. Helio is the brain child of Scientologist Sky Dayton, who is also the founder of the company I work for, Earthlink. I get an employee discount, but I’m still a no go until they offer another back bone.
Like the others said, it would be much cooler if it was a GSM phone instead of a CDMA phone… But still I’m not impressed. I’d much rather have a PocketPC phone over this. I’ve got the QTEK 9100 aka T-Mobile MDA and refuse to go back to a non PocketPC phone.
its minimum 40 a month for 500 minutes.
I can’t say I really like it. I like my cell to be basic and without MySpace!
That said, I do like the keypad.
