I actually bought this package from a local Guitar Center. It’s not bad for beginner podcasting, but I don’t think the mic quality is all that great. I use the setup along with GarageBand to create a basic podcast and it is decent. However, if I get into doing the podcast on a more serious level, I would opt for a mixer and better mic.

It seems that I get stopped midsentence everytime I use the word �Rad� it is part of my daily lexicon and I think people just need to get over it. Vron and I can have our throwback word if we want! It is def rad.

GarageBand make me want to hurl, but ableton live doesn’t suck at all. Yeah and thats alot of bread to shell out for something that may be a little subpar.

Actually I think that price is pretty high… Over $200 US for just one mic and that itty bitty mixer (can you call that a mixer?) + software…

I just bought 2 Audio Technica Mics, the Alesis USB mixer, two pop filters, 2 stands, and 2 25ft cables for under $250 including shipping… Granted there’s no software in that package, and I have to figure the RSS bit myself (can’t be that hard… can it?)…

lmao…thats funny. for voip reording via skype you could try Pamela Professional…i use it to record my skype’s’s’s and it works seamlessly…but beware, it’s win32 only.

CNET needs to release an accompanying package called “Buzz Out Loud In A Box”, featuring little figurines of Molly, Tom, and Veronica you can sit on your desk and audio clips of them you can drop in, like Molly saying “Bunnies!”, Tom talking about baseball, and Veronica, of course, saying “wikka wikka wikka”.
