Can someone explain to me why this game is supposed to be fun? Am I not “getting it?” Is it because I don’t have any friends to visit in the game? Well, whatever it is, I’m having a hard time keeping my attention on this game. Help me out, here!

You need to unlock the Hot Coffee mod, it’s much more enjoyable.
I very much enjoyed the game for about two months. However, once I unlocked most of the goodies (many through cheat codes) and done so many of the tedious tasks in the game, I got tired of it. I haven’t gone back to it more than twice in the past year. My advice to you would be to stick to the Warcraft you so much enjoy. I don’t think this is your kind of game. The game is cute, has some nice extras (such as old Nintendo games), but it seems to be targeted toward children. Throw in some weapons, then maybe I’ll go back - I’d love to blow up some of those stuck-up, lazy animals.
I wish I knew the answer. That’s the one DS cart that collects dust for me.
I suppose I should fish or collect shells and buy a swiffer so I can dust it regularly.
How can you not like Animal Crossing? It is just like the best game ever. Hours of playing without any notice.
However an online version would be sweet.
Maybe you were too pressured into buying this game, therefore making it not as fun…
You know there is always an option of returning the game and getting a better one, or you could test out (buy then return) a PSP and see how you like it. And if you like it a lot, we shall play for all eternity
I tryed to return a game on a WalMart store in NH and they told me that I couldn’t return games… I guess that’s not true, is it?
Veronica,
I suggest setting some personal goals in Animal Crossing. I, for one, enjoy attempting to get the highest HRA scores possible, and creating cool rooms in my house. Alternatively, some people I know are more inclined to complete their museum collections, or achieve a perfect town environment.
Set a personal goal or two, and put in a little time each day
Scottish, I admit i’ve never heard of this game until now so I don’t understand the appeal, but then again I am more of a console player; Killzone, Call Of Duty, etc.
But isn’t it a bad sign when you have to make up reasons to make a game playable?
They’re not what I would call “made-up”. They are legitimate, programmed game elements, but the game doesn’t REQUIRE you to do any of them. The lack of requirements and hard objectives I think is what trips some people up.
that game is ridiculously fun for the first few months.
but the dumb thing is you cant start playing, then stop for a few months and just start again..
because the game keeps on going even when you’re not playing, so weeds grow everywhere. and you trip. and die.
wow I’m suprised I found it very freaking addicting the first time I played it..but like most ofthe other people I got tired of it after awhile..Or maybe I liked it because I did have friends to visit…
PWN.
Animal Crossing to me is like a safe haven. When you play it it just gets you in a good mood, and for me mostly because you really have to no requirements or really important goals. Just play it to unwind, and do whatever you want to do in the game. If you don’t really like the whole cheery-happy theme, try setting pitfalls for villagers, trapping ng them with a cage of trees, hitting them and getting them pissed with your bug catching net, put all of your designs with humiliating designs on them (the villagers will wear them),changing everyone’s word they love to say so much something that you find hilarious, and chopping down all of the trees in the village. And like it was said
before, make your own goal. For me it is is getting a forrest of every fruit tree, planting a TON of flowers, and making Tom Nook’s shop bigger.
well i am doin so well on animal crossin it is da best game eva
i just wana know wot is the last mortage an how 2 complete my catolouge faster lol
My secret is once Ive ran out of things to do in one day..I just save and restart. And before chosing my character I change the dat or time by clicking on the phone.
