   I know how you feel. Someone snatched my brother’s Archos AV500. Poor kid is only 13, really upset him.

   i feel your pain V, my brother’s 6-year old dell lappy decided to stop working with all his work info inside…which sucks. Looks like a bad week for gadgets…theft, breakdowns, back-orders…what is this world coming to? where’s the love?

   [...] technology’s been pretty faulty the past few days…first i had to service my powershot SD700IS camera for a defective speaker (which is $0 due to the warranty), then veronica’s headphones were swiped at work…which sucked because they looked pretty awesome, now my bro Kevin’s 6-year dell inspiron 8100 lappy decides it’s too tired to boot up…which really blows, but it was an old machine.  And the fact that he was able to take care of it through 6 years of wear and tear is a pretty good achievement.  Anybody else would’ve destroyed it within 2 years or less which is yet another reason why women should go out with geeks: we take care of our gadgets…which aren’t cheap if i may add.  But enough of that, he already placed an order for a new 2Ghz macbook which basically 1-up’s him over everybody else who assumed he wouldn’t take the plunge..HAH!.  Yes, kev and i have been windows users for many years, but now windows is buggy, dishonest, and full of crap.  And we’ve used the iMacs on campus that no one uses for a good while now, so the learning curve pretty smooth.  So although kev’s a little short-funded now, at least in the long-run he’ll have less headaches…not to mention that he wont have to pay to remove it (like his academic discount still worked when he bought it…who’d a thunk it)…go apple! [...]

    I hate it when people steal stuff but it’s even worse when its taken from your work. You would think your colleagues would have more respect for your gear.

    You know, I used to have those headphones. While they sound good, they made my ears sore over any extended period of time. The padding was lame, so the hard speaker surface would smash my ears.
