I (along with Tom and Molly) had the honor of interviewing Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak on the show today. The main topic was the recent Segway recall, but we also had a chance to ask him about the Apple announcements. He was a great guest, I hope you guys enjoy the interview!

Interesting! Hmm.. Veronica, was that you saying ‘me neither’, when Steve mentioned not liking the cult-like Apple following? For those cult-like types, if you haven’t yet, read the stories on the following site, they’re really a lot of fun: folklore.org (’me neither’-types, beware: they might make a cult-type out of you yet..) Just finished listening to the interview with Woz, was awesome. Interesting stuff, I know they’re rare but I always enjoy the Episode .5 interviews.
It was Molly, right that makes sense! And i guess she was looking at you while saying that, and then you laughed
I wonder if Steve Jobs really doesn’t like it though, as Woz mentioned, because it’s great for marketing, and they actually fuel it by sending out invitations like that, by Steve wearing his turtlenecks almost every time, etc. MS could only dream of such a marketing religion. (for those who didn’t know: he didn’t actually wear them in the beginning, have a look at the following, and watch the birth of a cult! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRZKgtIeDus ) (then compare it to Ballmer on stage, and it’s no longer a question why only Apple has this religion..)

Nice interview. You can see Woz and the rest of the Aftershocks play Segway polo tomorrow Sunday 9/17 at Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park. The match is part of bigger annual polo event (with horsies) called SF Polo in the Park. More info on the Bay Area Segway site. They go on at 1:30pm.
I was happy to see that the Woz interview was seperate from the normal BOL podcast. Not that I didn’t want to hear it or anything, but there’s something to be said for having that daily fix of BOL tech news.
Also, I thought it was funny listening to you three try to get a word in edge-wise when interviewing Woz. Once he gets on a roll it seems hard to stop him.
hehe, Kato’s powers of observation are as keen as mine, as I’ve noticed Woz’s loquaciousness on many occassions. Great work team CNet, btw! Woz is one of those guys I want to meet someday… oh wait, I did… but I just shook his hand. I think his talkativeness is like any geek– when he gets excited and passionate about something, it’s hard to stop. of course, i’d know nothing about that
