I’m glad to see you like and are getting into the 360. I have had two since launch day and just picked up the PS3. I have to say Sony better get to work and fast. The 360 is light years ahead of the PS3 is from game and from just the user interface. I’m a little upset that i paid $600 and got no HD cables or headset. Should have just bought another 360 and made a lan party room.. Anyway enjoy the gaming and Xbox live.. Our thoughts are with James!!

yeah, gears is pretty awesome. it’s actually FUN. sadly this is a rare thing in next gen games. if anybody wants to play a few rounds, my gamertag is rickest.

Hey just thought id say how darn lucky you americans are!
The U.K has to wait till March.
Sony are crazy.
Not that Im actually going to buy one of them. Its retailing over here at ?350 which is roughly $650 for the starting pack and ?425 for the higher end pack which is equivalent to $780 ish.

I’m still keeping my hopes high on the Wii. I’ve only ever bought Nintendos (except for the PS1), and while there are some stellar games out there for other consoles, I’m not an extreme gamer, and I only need some games I like to keep me happy. Plus, I can keep playing my Gamecube games on the Wii!

We do appreciate all your hard work doing all this research!

PS. I’m finding Molten Core a little boring now, believe it or not. Blackwing Lair is a lot more fun and engaging, even if we do end up wiping a few times. But seriously, I wouldn’t worry about it — once Burning Crusade comes out, hardly anyone will run those raids. There are level 61 greens that are better than Tier 2 armor!

i was all about the wii.. all about it.. until..

my wii bubble burst a couple of days ago after seeing the guys from gamespot play with the ps3.. it’s $600, sure.. but it’s the future.. i can’t even play cds and dvds on the wii?! come on! simple integration nintendo! it looks fun.. yeah.. but.. at the end of the day.. it’s just a juiced up gamecube with a new controller.. my hopes are gone..

The market has definitely changed in the past years. I never saw such a hardcore desire for machines like the NES, Colecovision, and Sega Genesis.

Sony definitely has the online model right: You figure out how to get there and it’s free when you get there. Microsoft isn’t giving proper credit to it’s user community. They know what they are doing. Xbox live is just a cheap attempt to get people sucked in.

Get your sleeping bags ready if you don’t have a Wii or PS3 pre-order in. People in LA are already camped since the weekend. Job=money=buy stuff. What’s wrong with this picture? Take off a week to wait for the opportunity to spend 600 bucks.

Man all i’m gonna say is: PS3 = March 2007

How sucky is that? Europe (Ireland) gets the shitty end of the stick as usual…although we do get Wii December 8th so thats some respite…

Be thankful you get to play with some next gen ahead of some 400 million people! :p (population of Europe)

On a serious note. When I came back from USA in early 2005 I had a Ps2, Xbox, Nintendo DS and a Dreamcast. Until someone broke into my house and stole all the eletronics
Right now I’m trying to buy a used Xbox 360 for Us$800, cheapest one around…

I soooo agree with you on Gears of War! I play team campaign with my brother this weekend for like 9 hours! I have and play a lot of games too and have seen some pretty impressive games. Still, it’s been awhile since i’ve seen something that gives me the wow factor. The Gears team really did it right!
