The loss of James has struck me harder than I ever thought it could considering I only knew him through my television and podcasts. I’ve shed more than my share of tears today for James. It just goes to show how great a person he was to affect someone so strongly. His heroism will never be forgotten!

I was crushed when my wife told me today that James did not survive. Although I only knew James through his work on CNET, the news really tore me up. I can’t imagine how are you are feeling.

i just saw the memoriam for james on cnet.. and afterwards saw tom say a few things about james.. and just like him, i was getting choked up.. today is a truly sad day.. im so sorry for your loss.. although i didnt know james personally.. i listened to mp3 insider, and watched both him and you on the crave vidcast.. he will be missed.. but most importantly he will be remembered.. rest in peace james..

Veronica, I was so saddened to hear the news. I did not know James personally, but I could tell that he was a nice person. My prayers go out to you and his family. I feel like this world is a little worse without him and Heaven is a little better with him there.

This whole thing has really touched me quite a bit, and I feel horrible for all those who knew and loved James. His last act was selfless and heroic, and something that not everyone would be strong enough to attempt. I do hope that in some way James knows that his family is safe, as that his courage will not be forgotten.
