[...] Remember when I went to Industrial Light & Magic? Well, John Knoll and Hal Hickle won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects! It was bizarre to be watching the show at home, and see someone I’ve met on stage accepting an award. We went back to ILM today for their surprise welcome party, and it was really fantastic to see. very cool veronica! I went to the lucas ranch one time for lunch… it was near ewok lake. There was no cell phone reception. My friend James works on video games there… but what you saw was far better. Yes!

No fair! I took a tour of ILM back in October at AES, and they said we couldn’t take any pictures whilst inside the building. Oh well, I can relive the joy by looking through yours…

I’m not sure which is cooler, just the fact that you got to go to ILM or that you got to go to ILM and TAKE PICTURES!!!

Nice one, I am soooo jealous.

The render servers make me drool for that sort of power, and the models on display are amazing. Brings back some good memories of times enjoying those movies.

the Yoda fountain was awesome. I laughed at myself for admiring the Cat5 cables on their servers.

Wow, that’s pretty damn amazing. I didn’t realize so many movies were branched out from Lucasfilm, but I s’pose you can’t expect them to not do anything besides Star Wars. Awesome photos as well, those mo-cap suits look snazzy as does that anime-esque Yoda.
