Search strings
I find it amusing sometimes to go through the stats for my site to see how people got here. But there are a few search strings that I just don’t understand. Here are the top three for January:

OK, “veronica belmont” makes sense… but “kitchen?” When have I ever talked about a kitchen? Who is getting to my site by searching for “kitchen”? “Draenei” is funny, because I’ve only mentioned them in one or two posts, but I can see how that might be a top term.
Now for February:

“Kitchen” again. Mind you, this is the first day of the month, and already “kitchen” is coming up as the only other search string. Does anyone know what this is about? Maybe someone needs to explain to me how search strings work.

I got tagged once for “inflatable boat rubber” and it got to the point that I actually started getting legit email from businesses that produce boat rubber. I could NOT figure it out until one day I found that my name had been automatically picked up by a bot and thrown into a text block at the bottom of a page advertising pirated copies of some industrial design 3d software I use. Somehow through that page, my name got crosslinked with “inflatable boat rubber.” Search for veronica belmont kitchen and see if a page comes up that links you! You could be in for a laugh.

Incidentally, another interesting fact revealed by site statistics is the fact that someone out there is apparently still using AltaVista search. I may have even seen a reference to Webcrawler in my logs the other day, which I didn’t think was even possible unless someone in 1996 found a hidden search operator that allowed them to search for results in the future.

Just an amusing follow-up. After posting my comment here, this site jumped to the fourth-largest external linker to my site for the month, remarkably passing even even the short film I worked on that was just in Sundance. You must have a lot of visitors! Either that or they ALL clicked on my link. lol. The web is funny.

Maybe you have the keywords somwhere that has kitchen in it. I just checked your HTML source nad you don’t have any keyword there but maybe some of the search engines that have your site registered put it in some weird category. It looks really funny whatsoever.
