Question: i wasn’t previously familiar with the so-called lolcats, but could someone tell me why the spelling has to be messed up like that? Is that a special lolcat rule, or is there some other reason for it? I’m Dutch, so maybe that’s why i’m not quite getting the fun of the spelling part? E.g., to me the harry potter lolcat would be just as funny if “UR” were spelled “YOUR” – does that mean i have a lack of humor? By the way: ‘lol’ actually means ‘fun’ in Dutch, but i suppose that’s not where their name originated
