Busy little slug
So much has happened in this past week alone, I don’t even know where to start! First of all, as I wrote on the CNET TV blog E3 was a huge letdown. I guess I wasn’t expecting too much, but still! Throw a girl a freakin’ bone, here. Wii Fit was probably the biggest news for me, but we don’t even have our Wii anymore. I guess I need to go back to the gym if I want to stay in shape! How boring.
Friday night, despite being exhausted (and having a long history of being a lameo that never leaves the house) I put on my weekend best (read: jeans other than the Levi’s I wear everyday) and headed over to the Pownce party! It was nice to get out and see everybody, and to fill in Kevin and Leah on my favorite parts about Pownce, as well as some features I’d like to see in the future. So far, I’m really loving the site.
Saturday I was a complete slug, but Sunday was the AIDS Walk! Team CNET Networks raised almost $20,000, and we had a great time walking! My feet and legs are paying for it today, but it was worth it. After the walk, I recorded TWiT #105 with Leo, Jason Calacanis (my soon-to-be boss) and David Spark. If I’m a little low energy on the show, it’s because I just walked over six miles! That’s a lot… for me.
On top of everything, I’m getting ready to shoot my final Prizefight tomorrow! It’s a big one, believe me. Right now it’s so long that I’m going to have to cut about 25% out of it before the shoot. But you know what happens when I cut stuff out? People get mad that I forgot something! You can’t win! Hah, well, no matter what I do, at least half of the people get mad, right?
More slugs found here.

Man, sounds like you were a busy bee.
How are you feeling about your soon to be new job? Nervous? Exited? Both?
What is this pownce party and why didn’t you pownce about it? =D

Wow, way to go Cnet! That’s quite a number.
It’s good to know even busy celebrity geeks like to take it easy on a Saturday. Now I don’t feel so bad…
What happened to your Wii? Was it a review unit?

You recapped your weekend without even mentioning you waited in line with Ryan for 2 hours for Harry Potter?
Yes, due to blogs we know far too much about your lives. But since you’re letting us in then turn on the lights. What did you guys think of the movie?

$20.000 ??!?!
Not even close to ….. one MILLION dollars….
No, thats great work.
Where do I subscribe to your new show? Do I really have to wait for the first episode to show up, before I can subscribe?
Well, V, doesn’t it feel great to do allot of things? I mean, if you are a slug, then I would be a stone … or something real slow.

Congratulation’s on walking and your new Job at Mahalo. I ruined a keyboard after hearing the news about you moving to the startup company. It got too wet from the tears of sorrow and joy from learning that you have a new opportunity, your new Job. I think that your leaving to Mahalo is going to be an interesting change. I wish you would stay at C|NET but I suppose this Job will be for the best for everyone.
I remember so many instances when you would say something funny on a Podcast and it would make my day. I could have just had my house burned down and all my relatives die, but hearing Peta flop in a Box would fix it all and make me feel like I was born again.
You attitude towards life and personality have changed my life for the better over the past two years. I thank you greatly for this. I am looking forward to seeing you on mahalo, I know you will do great things there.
This may sound strange, but I feel like I know you. I feel like hearing you everyday has tought me so much about you. I really enjoy your personality.
Best Wishes,
Blaze
