New details have been released at BlizzCon about the upcoming World of Warcraft live action movie, on Ain’t It Cool News. The picture above is the first piece of concept art that we’ve seen, and like they say in their post, it’s pretty hard to judge the movie based on some concept art. But I’m still looking forward to it!
Speaking of BlizzCon, I have some photos up from the event, and my interview with Leeroy Jenkins (see infamous video here) will hopefully be up here tonight!

Nerd! Wish I had gone…to hang out with my PVP friends from battlegroup 9. Poo.
Hey Veronica,
Should I jump into WoW? I am a sucker for sci-fi/fantasy anything, and I need a new game to waste time. I usually stick to rpgs like the sims and civilization. And I don’t want to start playing only to be overshadowed by fancy high leveled people.
Any idea if they will be doing any of the shoots ‘on-location’? It would be interesting if they were to film some within one of the WoW servers. Graphics quality could be an issue, but it would be pretty attractive for WoW fans to get a chance to be an ‘extra’ in the movie.
Unfortunately (maybe) the movie is going to be live action, so there won’t be any filming on the servers!
@Veronica Ahh that is so wrong for WoW. If it’s a WoW movie it’s gotta be on WoW. Now I have to figure out why I don’t play WoW yet.
I have to say I’m a bit surprised/disappointed that you didn’t post some kind of response/reaction to Fake Steve Jobs being outed. I’m behind on BOL…maybe you made a cameo return to talk about it? I don’t know, but here’s hoping…

What gives?! Either you posted that picture as an intelligence target for the Horde or you’ve jumped ship admiring such Night Elvishness. Grrr.
(Or are you moonlighting there, eh?)
@Andre- thats why you should download V’s toolbar. she sort of reacted to it through twitter.
@Quinn/Veronica - Hmmm, that is a shame. Perhaps they are forgetting a key element of why WoW is so attractive to fans… they are a part of the story.
I remember when I saw the VERY impressive battle scenes in Lord of the Rings which were basically individual AI elements interacting with each other to create a realistic looking battle.
What if they replaced this AI with real people battling it out in a virtual world (they would have to tweak it so the good guys would win I guess). You could look at the field of battle and point out to your friends: “Hey, that was MY naked dancing elven maiden who got squished by the Tauren warrior!”.
I don’t know, I’ve always felt like downloading the Veronica toolbar might be going too far into the life of somebody that I don’t really “know”. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned.
The movie should totally be a LARP.
