tech.gadgets.video.geekculture.gaming.kittens.
Hooray! As much as I once loved my old design, it was begging for an update. Huge thanks to my friend Jesse Keyes (contact him for WP template design here) who listened to my whims, and put up with my incessant nitpicking. This design is much easier to read and navigate, and the code isn’t fraked from my constant adding and subtracting of widgets. Yes, it had become so bad that even trying to add an embedded video would cause the whole site to spiral into disaster. I’ll be more careful this time.
And to those of you who visit this site mid-transition, I’m sorry if you thought you were caught in some weird temporal vortex (the templates were switching around back and forth). There will be more coming soon to the site as well. I’ll be making a page of all my different projects, and adding to the pages that exist now. We’re also working on a cool header design, so keep an eye out for that one (if you’re not just reading from RSS, that is!).
One of my favorite new features are the Gravatars, which are the little icons in the comments section. It makes things a little more personal around here! Well, I hope you enjoy the new site. I’m very excited about it

Nice work!
Its so bright and cheery.
Great work, Veronica! How is the seesmic office treating you?
cool
Are you using a plug-in for the twitter update?
Amazing new look.
Elegant, accessible, pretty and fun.
Oh, and the site design’s nice too …
Wow! It’s a really nice new cool look!
Nice. Clean looking. Congrats.
I was wondering about those little rendering glitches for a short while…
Spring cleaning a site always feels good – especially when the result is such a nice look.

I like the new layout Veronica! Well done
I really like it. Congrats to both the designer and the happy landlord!
it’s all web 2.0 and junk, robert likes.
oh and you have the longest blogroll ever but its okay.
Looks very slick.
It’s pretty and it’s readable. Good job.
Although I tried the URL “tech.gadgets.video.geekculture.gaming.kittens”
…and my browser just told me there was no such domain as ‘gaming.kittens’ (which I think is a shame).
Very nice design, sweet and clean…much better!
Hey, looking good. I am mid redesign myself and I was wondering if you knew (or could ask Jesse) what Twitter plugin he is using.
Cheers from Great White North
Nice and simple with a blue search box. That’s very cool.
Much nicer design – very clean and well laid out.
Awesome design , much better than before
Sweet!
I really like Design Disease’s stuff – we’re even looking at them at my job to redesign our website.
Good stuff!
Very nice! I like the combination of automatic active content (like the Twitter and Flickr streams) and determined new content (like your blog posts).
I have been trying to freshen up my blog for a while, but it does take some doing. Wordpress is easy to customize, but you have to have some PHP/Javascript skills the really modify a template to your needs. Kudos to Jesse for doing such a great job!
sweet and clean, just like you. …okay, i know that mayyybe sounds weird, but you know what i mean. i hope.
You forgot to add “bacon” to the header!
Boooo, I want the vomit color scheme back!
)
Oh SNAP! Sweet look girl!
I miss the seldom-referred-to original title of your blog, “Music & Medicine.”
I like the new template very much! Good job Jesse! I’m currently running wordpress on my macbook via MAMP so that I can create a new theme for my site without actually making it live for the whole world.
i miss the sword and laser button and it is fascinating how easy you made me sign up for this gravatar stuff, just to show off my funny face… this works automatically once i associate an image with my gravatar account and email and post on any gravatar enabled blogs, right? i like the star at the top btw.
I love it. Definitely a down side to always using RSS feeds is that I never get to see site revamps. Glad you tweeted it. I also love your Twitter box, much nicer than the blogspot widget thing I’ve got. Nice job!!
Welcome to teh future!
Very Nice!
Looks nice!
It looks nice, even though it’s a bit.. big, if you know what I mean?
I like it
I like it a lot.
Rock with your bad self!

Hey all, Jesse the designer here, glad you all like the template. VB and I spent a lot of time on it!
Just to credit where it’s due:
The template is pretty much a mangled (I mean massaged) version of Gossip City.
Plugins used: Alex King’s Twitter Tools, FlickrRSS and Gravatar.
Have fun out there!
Wow… very nice!
I was kind of getting use to the old design… I don’t know, I guess I don’t like change very much, but I gotta say that this new design is really cool and look forward to the newly added snippets in the coming months!
Aweeeeeeesome!
Shiny!
I love your new blog design!
Very nice! (He says while checking out his new Gravatar…)
::must keep up with the belmonts::
(also checking out gravatars)
happy V-day.
Sweet new setup… I like a lot.
I must say, this is what I hate about blog readers. You don’t get to see the blog layouts. Anyway, I like it!
Keep it up,
Cameron
Hey V!
It’s nice clean job and suits you well!

Sometimes less is more.
Nice and clean. bright and happy.
Love it!
Now all you need is to blog more often
I like the new design, especially the coulour scheme
btw: Adobe Labs has a very good colouring tool, do you know it? here you are:

I really enjoy the new look/design of the site. It is much easier to look at and much more organized. I personally feel that having all of the comments listed at once is a bit much. I would prefer to see 10 or so per page but that’s just me. The Gravatars were a much needed feature and they do exactly as you had hoped, they make things a little more personal…
