Veronica on Qik: I’ll try to be more exciting, I promise »

Ok, you were right! I’m joining Tekzilla!

Most of you guessed that one of my new projects was over at Revision3 as the new co-host of Tekzilla with Patrick Norton. And yes, you are correct! In fact, I was over there yesterday shooting for Friday’s episode. As I’ve said before, I love working with everyone over there, and I think it’s going to be a blast.

However, there’s still another project that I can’t say anything about just yet! A girl’s gotta have her secrets, right?

Congratulations– everybody guessed it (I just didn’t want to join the herd)– Revision3 is a great fit. Tekzilla is perfect for you.
You did pick up a few new skills, though, maybe they need a pilot.

Well, what is “Tech” anyway? How narrowly or broadly do you want to define it. Do it too narrowly and you are going to miss out on a lot. Do it broadly and you build interest in things on the edge that may or may not blow up into a trend. But I digress.

On an unrelated note, I saw your guest spot on DL.TV last week and I couldn’t agree more about the UI changes and how they buried Categories down the page. Very annoying.

A friend of mine of your gender is getting few vibes here about your second post Mahalo project (which I missed, maybe)– V, you don’t want the commute to LAX– you want to stick close to SFO, you want to stick to tech (meaning maybe you may need to limit some of the stunts at Mahalo)? hmmm.

Reading between the lines of your Tweets, I suspected that you were getting tired of the SF to LAX grind and Revision 3 is local, not in Chapter 11, and not laying people off it looked like a good fit.

Jason C kinda iced it for me when he posted the new Mahalo Daily host had to be in LA or be willing to move.

Good luck and I am looking forward to you on Techzilla. My WAG for your second project is either working with Leo or (very WAG) somehow doing DL.TV since they are always running you as part of their ads. Can’t really see that one tho…
