tech-centric ? Not bad.
>> But I don't consider you a geek... I have great respect for people that will even consider talking about computers. Much less, trying to show someone what to do with one. It HELPS! Believe me.
They should put OS-10 on its own little.. somewhere else, like.
I almost punched myself in the nose the other day, hitting command + blah OR Control + the "other thing". Strictly OS-WINDOWS.(VISTA). It makes my brain part in the middle and gives me a toothache. [my god, OS-10 ?; what else]. But I do like The BIG Mac, like @ McDonalds. Here's one from the computer Genius: (don't pay any attention to how McDonalds is spelled, until you add it to your dictionary, its a goner.), Still can't figure out how to get to the "monster-bad-ass-giveaway" page @ Revision3. Oww.

I have five Macs in the house and an AppleTV... undoubtedly, the powerhouse app is REMOTE. That app has turned my first-gen iPhone into a $1000 (semi-universal) media remote (but better, because when a call comes in, volume cuts.). Reminds me of my Bang & Olufsen phones; Controlling my Beosound 1 with a volume dial on the BeoCom.

I think the iPhone's Facebook app, Jott, Evernote and Monkey Ball should be on that list. I also dig Showtimes, Twinkle, WritingPad and Aurora Feint (but I'm a sucker for puzzle games).

I'm still trying to decide whether or not the "upgrade" to 2.0 and the apps were/are worth the MAJOR battery-life hit. My iPhone is literally shutting-down-dead five (or more) times per week... I have to tether myself to a Mac or a (not included) A/C adaptor... seems to throw the "wireless" element out of the equation—coupled with poor reception is some areas I frequent, I'm once again thinking about the lackluster-wonder that is Sprint.

I really like the idea of an eReader. Kindle is cool, but I cannot justify carrying around yet another gadget in my already full purse. How much does it cost to download books? And do you think it will cause permanent eye damage?

I added the language apps. I have Italian, French, German, and Spanish. I like to piss off C.K. by mispronouncing German phrases over and over.

If you want a good alternative for Adium, try Fring. I use it on a jailbroken-1gen-iphone and it works like a charm, even in background. However, I'm not sure if it does on the 3G phone...

If you like ereader, you may want to take a look at Stanza, especially if you are in to public domain books. Stanza is hooked up with feedbooks which as a lot of free public domain books to peruse. also, the interface ain't bad either.

As far as instant messengers go, I just bookmark Meebo.com (which has an iPhone/iPod Touch specific interface) and put it on the main menu. It connects to EVERYTHING, and not just AIM, and I can login with ONE login.

In my experience, it works fabulously.

I've seen the book version of the Lonely Planet Japanese Phrasebook. It's pretty sleek. I'm sure the iPhone app would be as well. Learn some Japanese and we can practice!

For the ereader, you might also want to check out memoware for a bunch of public domain free stuff.

Now, with that aside, are you going to post about this Playboy thing or what!? :0) I really want to know whether you support your inclusion in the poll (and thus want us to vote for you) or not. I would guess yes, since Ryan pointed us to the link, but still, what is your reaction? Inquiring minds want to know! :0)
