Soulja Boy: The next Yahtzee?
I saw the following video yesterday on Joystiq, in which rapper Soulja Boy does his damnedest to explain the brilliant game Braid to his YouTube audience. But then today I was talking to Josh, and he said something even more brilliant: “He is the next Yahtzee.”
Let’s compare (and btw, neither of these videos are particularly safe for work):
Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation:
So, is Soulja Boy the new liaison for gamers to the mainstream world*? Discuss.
*Wouldn’t that be hilarious?

Hmmm… MacDude, I don’t listen to pop, rap or dance, so those stats are irrelevant. I have no idea who soulja boy is. Therefore, it seems absurd that his video has any reason to be compared to Zero Punctuation reviews. So I guess that Josh’s suggestion wasn’t that brilliant. It was more like the video game industries version of the tech world’s next “iPhone killer” comment.

Guys! People! Step back from this a second…
It’s meant as a joke. There can never be another Yahtzee. And if there were, I’d sooner run headlong off a cliff while asphyxiating myself with my USB controller than allow it to be Soulja Boy.
The only sad thing is that there are enough people out there that may actually listen to this guy’s “gaming” advice.
