Revision3 definitely represented big time in this video, can you spot them all? Thanks for the mention, brentalfloss! On a totally unrelated note, I forgot to tell you guys that I blacked out during District 9. As a fear response! It’s not even scary! Can you imagine what would happen to me in a real

It’s no secret that iPhone applications are a breakout hit for Apple, even beyond their own expectations. Because of this, a culture of app fanatics is popping up online, which include a slew of new podcasts and video shows that cater to people looking for the best and brightest apps out there. Frankly, with all

Have you seen the new show Glee? Not only is it amazing, but there’s great music in it too (if you’re into hearing teenagers singing well-known rock and show tunes). But this post from Best Week Ever (via BuzzFeed) totally made my day: That’s right, a choir singing “Don’t Stop Believin’”. Love it. The kids

Last Star Trek post for a while, I promise. After seeing the film on Friday (which was fraking awesome, btw… wait, am I allowed to say “fraking” in regard to Star Trek? Whatever) I started wondering who would be cast if they were to remake TNG into a younger, hipper film. So here are my

BuzzFeed 9 Seconds 5/5/09 from BuzzFeed on Vimeo. BuzzFeed asked me to pick a few of my favorite stories from today and try to recap them in nine seconds! I was a little rushed at the end as the clock started ticking down, but I got it all out. It was fun to edit some

Last week I was part of a video panel for a new show called 5Across, hosted and created by MediaShift’s Mark Glaser. As part of this beta for their monthly episodes, we discussed topics such as how we started in our new media video careers, professional vs. amateur video, distribution methods and more. With me

I saw the following video yesterday on Joystiq, in which rapper Soulja Boy does his damnedest to explain the brilliant game Braid to his YouTube audience. But then today I was talking to Josh, and he said something even more brilliant: “He is the next Yahtzee.” Let’s compare (and btw, neither of these videos are

Here’s a mini-FAQ for my part in Qore: So is Rev3 involved in any way? Or are you working for both Rev3 and Sony’s Playstation unit now? Nope! Rev3 is not involved in any way. Technically, I work for Future US, the publishers of such magazines as Playstation: The Official Magazine, PC Gamer, and MacLife.

Today the project I’ve been working on for the past two months (other than Tekzilla, of course!) is being announced to the world: Qore, an interactive program on the Playstation Network. I’m really excited about it, and also a little nervous, because it’s unlike anything I’ve done before. As we all know, video can be

Ryan and I recently became the owners of Rancilio Silvia espresso machine, and since then we’ve been trying to learn the ins and outs of pulling a decent shot. While Ryan has some experience in this area, I’m a total and complete noob. Luckily, our friend Niall steered us towards this great video series that

I know people older than me (and therefore prime 80′s targets) unaware of Take on Me.
This is their first taste!

I would flirt with this girl with big glasses too, easily ! Hahaha ! I’m fom the late 70′s, I was a kid at the 80′s too.
Ah ! “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” is the music that I heard the most times ever. There was a couple of months, years ago, when I put this song everyday, all day long… and I love to listen to it till now, with no “tired ears”.

These are hilarious!
I remember even as a kid back then thinking how stupid some of the videos I was watching were.

Wow. I hadn’t seen the Tears for Fears one before. That one definitely tops the A-ha video.

Those videos are hilarious! xD
I lived the 80′s and still enjoy listening to the music. Now I just wonder what the first song you downloaded from iTunes is. =P

Thanks, these are pretty funny. While I didn’t buy “Take On Me” on iTunes it has forever been the first song in my library (alphabetical by artist) so whenever I hit my Quicksilver “play” hot-key it plays by default.

Haha. What a coincidence. I just watched these videos today. I guess they’ve gone somewhat viral.

Hey Veronica nice 80′s vids! Shifting to something you said on the last tekzilla show about the new MacBook pros. You mentioned that people have been complaining about the new glossy screens on the MBPs. Well I was worried about it too but I’ve had a chance to spend some quality time with my MBP and can only attest to the high quality of the screen. I don’t really notice the glare at all even though it’s there. I don’t see my reflection in it to be more precise or notice glaring lights (no hair combing going on here!) and only find myself being impressed by both the brilliant colors coming off the screen and the overall solid build of the MBP. You also complained about no 17″ MBPs…well you’ll just have to wait your turn Ms. Fatty Macfatty Screen! The new MBPs are awesome in every way!
