New photoshoot with the Bui Brothers
Last month I had a very fun photoshoot with Lan and Vu Bui, and they’ve posted their favorite shots on their blog! I’m really happy with the pictures — I think they show a side of me that the world doesn’t get to see very often. We’ve worked together before, but especially now with Carlie Renee helping me with the styling, hair and makeup, I think we really got some fantastic shots out of this session.

I think these photos are great. It IS nice to see another side.
Having said that, I have always had a great deal of respect for you for being yourself on camera. Some days dressy; some days a T-shirt.
To each her own, but I’m frequently annoyed by people who seem to spend more time on their hair and makeup then they do on their material.
Perhaps it’s because I’ve got a 9 yr old daughter now that I’m more aware of this stuff. I find myself pointing out the smart, geeky, pretty girls to her whenever I can… Like you.

Nice! I like the last one (055) the best. Good mix of brown from your eyes to the two shades in your hair all the way to the multiple shades on the wood planks behind you. No clothes mean no other distractions and provides good contrast on your beamingly white skin. It has that desktop wallpaper quality to it.

My first thought when seeing the BruiBrothers blog was “Oh no! The side Veronica Belmont doesn’t usually show the world is ‘I’m so depressed I can’t even muster the energy to hang myself from a water pipe.” But everything else is wonderful. (Okay, I like the suicidal wind-up doll picture too–I just worry.) There are some truly lovely, elegant shots. (As it turns out, you’re not bad to look at.) And perhaps more importantly, you managed to shed the dorky tech chick persona we all know and love without in the least suggesting all this will inevitably lead to a Maxim spread. That’s a delicate balance and suggests a refinement one doesn’t usually expect from your average dorky tech chick. Since enough people have already praised the hotness of the raw material, I’ll concur with your props to the photographers and stylist who cleaned you up so well.
Again, the photos are wonderful.
