I can’t believe how unbelievably difficult Apple makes it to organize apps. The implementation in the video is absolutely perfect. Apple, please?!???

Wonderful!

All it needs now is a little slide out tray at the bottom with all of your applications.

While that tool is good for sorting stuff, if you want to start from scratch it’d be very nice, and then you sort later on when new apps arrive.

I own over 400 apps and while I have slowed down, am obviously not done yet. I don’t want to delete any so need a way to organize on iTunes as well as on my iPhone.
I jailbroke once and has Categories and G the Gold launcher but want Apple to fix this. My tunes have categories and genres and I can rate them. That would be enough.

anything would be better than what we have currently. C’mon Apple!

I find it a bit of a nuisance when there is a app at the far back page that I want to move all the way to the front. So this program would be nice. However, I would like a way to do these same functions ON my iPhone without having to sync it.

Nevertheless, kudos on the great idea in this video.

Anyone else down to about two or three apps they actually use daily anyway? Most apps I download, including the games, are played/used once or twice and then forgotten. People are making great apps; I’m just not using them.

I would rather just have folders. My 7 pages of finding stuff would just be a two click/tap process if I could sort it into folders.

darrin is right on. What we need is a folder based system (did I really say that?) or some other way to view categories of apps.
Or, how about a multi-function app that would tie all of this amazing functionality together? I guess that’s Apple’s job, hopefully they are watching/working…

This is great! And badly needed. I disagree that it would further bloat iTunes. It could just be functional if you’ve attached an iPhone/iTouch to the computer. The “Applications” section of my library never showed up until I hooked up my iPhone.

GOD YES! Apple really needs to do something like this. I am constantly pushing apps off the 9th page by accident. It’s near to impossible to move an app from one page to another without accidentally moving an app one a page full of apps.

I have 9 pages of apps with 15 apps per page so that I can move from page to page without accidentally moving an app. This means I can only have 139 apps instead of the 148 maximum.

A system like the one shown in the video would make life a billion times better!

Please Apple, do something like this!

Robert: Guess what, if you don’t use an iPhone/iPod Touch, then you would not see the interface to move apps around. Simple as that.

I hate to go against the flow here but I will. I think apple has already made iTunes way too bloated and this will just add to the problem. Also not every user of iTunes uses the iPhone or the touch and to thrust this onto all users would be too much.
