French food à la truck
Daniel Delaney from VendrTV was kind enough to invite me on the show, and I was thrilled to be able to try Spencer On The Go, a French food truck that patrols the SoMa district of San Francisco.
Now, I’ve become somewhat more adventurous in my eating habits in the past few years, but I’ve never tried escargot before. It did not go well. However, everything else we sampled was delicious, albeit guilt-inducing.
VendrTV is great, and they’ve found a nice niche by focusing on the very-trendy food carts and trucks that are showing up in major cities all over the country. Also check out his episodes with Gary Vaynerchuk and Dave Morin, who visited my favorite coffee spot in San Francisco, Blue Bottle!

Mmmm snails…?
I guess since I eat lots of crazy sushi combination, that something like escargot would just be the heroic-mode of eating.

Uproarious laughter. I just could not help freeze-framing this look. I think I hear the Food Network calling. Yup, right after the comment “what is this mountain of fungus”.. ROFLMAO

Food carts are amazing. They’re a huge part of the culinary tapestry here in Portland, OR, and VendrTV has filmed more than a few episodes here. If you end up visiting Portland, you definitely have to check them out. I personally recommend the “youcanhascheeseburger” from BrunchBox.

French food from a cart… so strange. These fast food places better watch out! Maybe McDonald’s will return fire by bringing back the McRib!
@Dave Friedel
haha! thank you for the laugh.

You should try foie gras with some white wine and figs. That’s way better. it’s nice to see “french take away food”, the every day food in france is cheap, simple and healthy.
Bonne appétit

Hi Veronica. I’m a french watcher of your techzilla show. I’ve just a precision for this foie gras, you can eat it cold on a french bread like you did , but it’s realy delicious juste seared with some “sel de guerande” salt. You should try
I realy like your website , keep up the good job
