I’ve begun advising for a company called Chic CEO, which is a fantastic resource for female entrepreneurs. Women can go to the website to learn how to get their businesses started for free (with premium content as well). From learning how to write up a business plan, filing for an EIN, or getting the right tax forms filled out, it’s all there.
Out of the several companies I work with on a advisory level, this is the only one with a strong female presence. I think it’s hugely important to give women with big ideas the know-how and resources to make them a reality.
Aside from the female POV, another reason I wanted to work with them is because the information is concrete, easy-to-understand and easy-to-implement. The site is geared towards women, but it’s filled with great advice that anyone could use.
They’ve also been written up in Forbes twice recently, in their Top 10 Entrepreneurial Websites For Women and The 10 Best Websites for Millennial Women, and they also regularly host events in the San Diego and NYC area.
I think we’ll be doing some fun stuff at SXSW this year as well, so stay tuned!
