It’s been a while, I know. Once again, life has gotten in the way of blogging, but I do have a lot of catch you up on. Let me start with the title of this post.
In the past two days, I’ve had six needles jammed into my body. Two in my mouth (for the two baby cavities that needed to get “taken care of”) and four on my arms/torso for the removal of suspicious moles. The worst part about the mole fiasco was that I wasn’t expecting them to do it on that visit (in hindsight, probably for the best - I would have worried myself sick otherwise). Oh, and then the lovely nitrogen blast to take off another thing on my arm. That hurt the worst, and it’s still sitting there… waiting. Waiting to fall off…
OK! That was disgusting, and I apologize. The brightspot in my week so far has been purchasing my Sidekick 3. Finally, I have a new phone. It was expensive (around $378 for the phone and a one-year contract plus tax) but some of the other phones I was looking at would have put me past the $500 mark. Yeah, no.
I was also excited to learn today that Sling Media has made a Mac-compatible version of the SlingPlayer. It’s still in beta, but I’m always happy when someone makes their awesome product run on my computer. Except… yeah. I don’t have a laptop or a device that can play video content, so it kind of doesn’t matter.
I have a question - does anyone know how to play YouTube videos in Wordpress? I’ve been looking in all the forums, and nothing has worked for me. Even the method Matt came up with won’t work. I’m at my wits end!

I was very excited to learn that iTunes, in it’s “1st Birthday for Podcasting” section today, has selected Buzz Out Loud as one of it’s “pioneering shows” that have “paved the way” for podcasting! We’re there on the first page with TWiT, Tiki Bar TV, and Rocketboom. We’ve been on the air even before iTunes began podcasting, but without their help we’d have never reached as many people as we have. Happy Podcasting birthday, iTunes, and thanks!

Did you really think I’d let an Apple announcement go by without mentioning it? Some may say that I only want the black one because it’s, well, “hot” looking. This may be true. However, it also has some pretty decent specs to go along with it’s sleek exterior. Lets take a peek:

Ok, so this thing practically kicks my G5’s butt. Except for the graphics card, which is the worrying factor here. You see, if I really want to buy this laptop, it would have to be a replacement for my G5. There’s just no other way that I can afford it. Yet how can I give up my G5 without knowing how WoW will run on the MacBook? It has the same graphics card as the Mac Mini, and what few benchmarks I would find for WoW running on the Mini did not look encouraging. I’m assuming there will be reviews for it in a few days, I’ll have to wait for that before I can decide.
Oh, and today was the holiday known as “Nabaztag Shipping Day.” Rejoice! Also, some more pics will be uploaded from my trip to SoCal.
Blizzard has announced at E3 that the new Alliance race will be the Draenei. There’s a great interview with Jeff Kaplan in the New York Times, detailing all the classes (Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Mage and Hunter) and info on new areas that are going to open up when The Burning Crusade goes live. I like them — they’re big like Tauren, but not ugly as we all expected the new race to be (you know, to counter the hotness of the Blood Elves.) Too bad everyone and their mom will be making a new Draenei character. Everyone not making a Blood Elf, that is…
