I’m seriously in nerd heaven. Tomorrow I’ll be traveling to the Presidio here in San Francisco to tour Industrial Light & Magic! They’ve done so many movies that I’ve loved. When I learned that they were moving ILM to San Francisco last year (or was it the year before? I can’t remember) I was excited. But I never dreamed that I’d be able to actually get go! I’ll update more tomorrow night, with links to the video/interviews I do and maybe some photos. Hooray!
Last night I went to the Burning Crusade launch in Sunnyvale, and I took some video. Thanks again to Dan, and the crew from the PC Gamer podcast, who wonderfully gave me a ride to and from. I’m not sure what’s up with the weird syncing issue here with the audio - it sounds and looks fine in the original. If you have any idea why, let me know!
I’m editing my unboxing vid of the Burning Crusade Collector’s Edition. All done! Check it out below. I should be installing it, but instead I’ve spent all night videotaping it. Hope you like them!
OK, everything is packed, the kitties have enough food and water to last them until Tuesday (when Ryan flies back to SF to go to Macworld, after which he flies back to Vegas for the rest of CES), the oven is definitely turned off… yup. It’s Go Time.
I’ll be blogging as much as possible here during the show, and I should also have some other goodies for you. Hopefully, that will NOT include video of myself getting hammered and telling Bill Gates, “I’ll show YOU an operating system!” Just kidding. Drinking and Vegas seem to go hand in hand, but the last thing in the world that you want to be is hungover.
More later! If you’re in Vegas, come say hi at the CNET booth (at the entrance of the South Hall). We’ll be recording live Buzz Out Loud there everyday at 12:30ish. BYE!
My parents joined the future and got DSL, so here I am: online, just like I said I wouldn’t be.
First off, LOL!
And then, here are some photos from home and NYC. More will be added as the week goes on. And apparently, while I’ve been away, this happened at my house and I’m totally jealous that I didn’t get to take part. Oh well, maybe next time!
Finally, I had a great interview with one of my favorite podcasters, Adam of the MacCast. The MacCast was one of the very first podcasts I ever listened to, and I consider him one of the people that got me interested in podcasting. He posted the link up on his site, so go check it out!
