Back from Santa Fe

Aug 8, 2006 Author: Veronica | Filed under: babble, out and about

Santa Fe was a great time, it was nice to see my family and all. I’m exhausted from traveling (doesn’t seem like it should be too far, but I had a two hour layover in Denver both ways that added to my misery). Tomorrow I’m moving into a bigger place, across the hall (!!) from my current apartment. Hey, at least if I forget to change my address my mail won’t be too far away!

Anyhow, there’s about 50 new pics on my flickr, so go check them out if you want! I need bed. More after the move.

Best birthday

First off, thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes! And especially to Ryan and Naomi, who planned a surprise party that completely shocked me. I must be the most gullible person on the planet for believing all the little lies they told me to keep me in the dark. There are pictures of the event on my Flickr page, excluding the ones where I’m sobbing hysterically with happiness.

In other news, yesterday was my “premiere” of hosting the Buzz Report. Molly was out of town, so I pretended to be her! It was a lot of fun, and don’t miss the outtakes at the end (Brian Cooley as Molly? Hysterical).

IRL…

There is only one thing lacking in my life right now: a good chair. My desk chair has been seized by the full-time blogger living in my apartment for the summer, and so until we can get over to Office Max or something, there is only one chair for two people.

Since running Engadget has been deemed more important than my Warcraft addiction, I’ve had to do other things with my time. Here is a list of some of those things:

1. Watching “Sex and the City.” Possibly up to five times a day (Thank you, TiVO!)
2. Watching the entire first season of “Lost” until the wee hours of the morning.
3. Going to dot com events.
4. Trying new delicious restaurants with my girlfriends.
5. Torturing the cat.
6. Reading the Mallorean, Vol. 1 (I think I’m on Book 6 of like… 800).
7. Sleep.

So, if you haven’t seen me on Bonechewer in a while, that’s why. *sigh*

Why, hello there!

I know, I’ve been bad lately with the whole “updating” thing. Let me try to fill you in on the past couple weeks:

Been shooting and rehearsing TONS for CNET TV, which goes live very, very soon. We’ll be on TiVo, On Demand, all over the place. Should be very exciting. Now I just need new outfits. *blech* Anyhow, I’ll be hosting two shows to start with, so hopefully they’ll be awesome. Hopefully.

Took a vacation to Point Reyes, CA. Pictures are here!

I no longer have a 13″ TV. Now I have a 30″ TV! This means I can actually read the program guide on TiVo. Thanks Eric!

Ryan is coming to spend the summer with me. That also means I get a kitty. A KITTY!! Sorry, I’ll stop squealing like a little girl. See (and vote for) Devo on KittenWar.com.

My toe is better, but my finger is F$#%ed still. I don’t know if it’ll ever be right again. Oh well. Luckily I don’t actually have to write things by hand very often.

Sent back poor little Nabaztag with the broke-ass ear. I’m waiting for my new one. So sad.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. Gotta go make some dinner and catch up on Warcraft.
