Metroblogging Azeroth
1I’ve started contributing to Metroblogging Azeroth, a World of Warcraft blog. I’m very excited about it, because as much as I know y’all loooooove hearing me babble about WoW, this isn’t exactly the best outlet for it. It seems like a great group of people, and I’ve been a fan of the site since it started. You can check out my posts here if you’re interested.
New Alliance race!
3Blizzard has announced at E3 that the new Alliance race will be the Draenei. There’s a great interview with Jeff Kaplan in the New York Times, detailing all the classes (Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Mage and Hunter) and info on new areas that are going to open up when The Burning Crusade goes live. I like them — they’re big like Tauren, but not ugly as we all expected the new race to be (you know, to counter the hotness of the Blood Elves.) Too bad everyone and their mom will be making a new Draenei character. Everyone not making a Blood Elf, that is…

More on gal gamers
8E3 is upon us once again (clearly, I am not there) but that means that there will be exciting video game news this week. Maybe a new Alliance race, maybe Halo 3, WHO KNOWS?! Anywho, I will be on yet another gaming podcast this week, The Instance, talking about lady gamers and WoW. I’m pretty excited, because it’s my new favorite gaming podcast. So give it a listen if you can, and tell me how I did.
Sorry for lack of updates, my finger is still terribly hurty. I’ve been keeping the typing at a minimum. But there are new pics from this weekend up on my Flickr (I actually went outside… shocking.)
Question: If you’re a gamer, what are you looking most forward to in the next year? Consoles, expansions, etc.
UPDATE: Ok, judging from my comments I need to be a little more thorough… Gamespot will be the best place to find tons of info on E3, including video and reviews, or go to http://e3.cnet.com. And yes, Dan, I still like the PC Gamer podcast, but you guys don’t talk about WoW nearly enough! Oh, and Ryan will be covering the Nintendo Wii event today, so go check out the liveblogging action here. Everyone happy now? I bruise my finger and everyone gets all huffy because I don’t write about them. Don’t say I never did anything for you…
PC Gamer podcast
7I’m going to be on the excellent PC Gamer podcast tomorrow, talking about women and video games. Well, we’ll probably fall into a long discussion on WoW, but I’m totally ok with that. You should listen, it’s going to be a lot of fun!
Also, sorry about the relative silence of my blog this week. Things have been really insane at work with the launching of CNET TV. Expect to see a lot of good stuff coming soon! I knew there was a good reason for buying that TiVo…
