If you were wondering what you missed when I was in Denver, here you go! Thanks again to Doyle Albee and everyone else at Metzger Associates for putting on a great event.
P.S. I look totally professional in my blazer, no?
June is going to be one of my busiest months ever (and here I thought March was… silly me!). Here’s a rundown:
2nd Annual Denver New Media Summit:
Tomorrow I’ll be on a panel with Brad Feld of the Foundry Group, Phil Weiser of CU Law School, and J.B. Holston of Newsgator. Should be an interesting discussion on the future of media! Also, it’s my first time in Denver (other than the airport, that is).
Pixelodeon:
This is going to be a really fun event down in LA! I’m curating a selection of technology videos with Bre Pettis of MAKE, and edited by Eric Rey. Our section is called “D.I.Y. with a Side of Robots.”
Utah New Media Conference:
Ryan and I will both be speaking at this event, with a keynote address by Robert Scoble. I don’t know too much about this one, but it sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun!
Phew! I better start collecting some frequent flier miles soon!
Crave this past week was a ton of fun to make. I’m trying to change the format of the show from what it used to be (a few gadgets, white background, etc) to be more about using the gadgets that we talk about on Crave in a fun way. Let me know if you like this kind of episode better (see also: The raver T-shirt experiment) than how we used to do them.
We’ve launched the CNET TV blog, finally! It’s where you go to find out what new projects we’re working on, give suggestions, hear about the weird stuff that happens around here all the time, and even discover fascinating new trivia facts about the hosts (did you know Tom Merritt likes corn chips? I didn’t). We’ve only got a few posts up there for far, but it’ll be growing quickly!
UPDATE: Blarg. Comments on that blog are in the works. If you have an idea for my post here, feel free to comment!
